The Roofing Industry Directory

A roof involves four different kinds of company, and lumping them into one list helps nobody. The contractor who does the work is not the distributor who delivers the material, who is not the manufacturer who warrants it, who is not the software company the estimate came out of. This directory keeps them apart, so you can go straight to the one you actually need.

    Contractors for Hire

Roofing companies that install, repair and replace roofs — the businesses a homeowner, landlord or property manager actually hires. Organised by state and then by city, with contact details and Google review counts where they exist.

    • Every US state and the District of Columbia
    • City pages underneath each state
    • Listings compiled from public records — confirm licence and insurance yourself

    B2B Services for Contractors

The companies a roofing business buys from rather than sells to: CRM and estimating platforms, trade associations and certification bodies, consumer financing, equipment rental and trade recruiting.

    • CRM, estimating and job documentation software
    • Trade associations, certification and inspection programs
    • Financing, equipment rental, telematics and recruiting

    Suppliers & Distributors

The wholesale distributors that stock and deliver roofing material to contractors. Most manufacturers sell only through this layer, so the branch network decides what is actually available in a given market.

    • National and multi-region wholesale distributors
    • Branch locators linked where each company publishes one
    • Recent acquisitions and rebrands recorded on each entry

    Product Manufacturers

The companies that make roofing products, listed with their contractor certification programs and tier names taken verbatim from their own pro pages — the field a roofer checks first.

    • Asphalt shingle, metal, tile, slate and synthetic
    • Commercial single-ply and low-slope systems
    • Contractor certification programs and tier names, verbatim

Every B2B section splits two ways

National corporations sell the same thing in every state. Regional and local businesses are defined by where they will travel, and for a contractor that difference is usually the whole question. Each section below can be read either way, and the regional and local views lead with the service area each business covers.

    Which section do you need?

You need a roof repaired, replaced or inspected

You want contractors for hire. Start with your state, narrow to your city, and treat the listing as a starting point rather than a recommendation — confirm the licence and the insurance certificate before anyone climbs a ladder. The licensing pages say which board to check in each state, and several states do not licence roofing at all.

You run a roofing company and need to buy something

B2B services covers the software, associations, financing, rental and hiring side — 59 companies grouped by what they actually do. If what you need is material rather than a service, go to suppliers and distributors instead: in most markets the distributor, not the manufacturer, is who you buy from.

You are checking a product, a warranty or a contractor certification

Go to product manufacturers. Each entry names the manufacturer’s contractor certification program and its tier names exactly as the manufacturer writes them, which is what you need when a bid claims a certification. Enhanced warranties usually depend on that status, and several widely-repeated program names are years out of date.

    Every category in the directory

109 companies across the three industry sections, grouped the way the trade groups them. Contractors for hire are not counted here — they live in their own state-by-state tree.

    What a listing here means

Industry companies: read off their own websites, most recently on August 25, 2026

Each of the 109 industry entries was written from the company’s own site, and every entry links to the exact page it was taken from and the date it was read. That is all it claims. It is not an endorsement, not a rating, not a vetting of anyone’s work, and nobody paid to be included.

Where a company publishes a figure about its own size, that figure is quoted as self-reported, with the link. Third-party revenue estimates and market-share numbers are not used at all.

    Contractor listings work differently

The contractor tree is compiled from public records, and a listing there is not a check of that business. Licence status, insurance and bonding change constantly and are only meaningful at the moment you look them up. Confirm both with the state board and the insurer yourself before work begins — the state licensing pages name the authority to ask in each state.

    Coverage, and where it stops

Several categories in this directory are empty, and they are staying empty until there is something real to put in them. An empty category is not rendered as an empty box — each section names its own gaps in plain English at the bottom of the page.

    • No law firms and no accounting practices. The finance category holds lenders only. Contractor-specialist attorneys and CPAs are worth listing, but not from self-description alone.
    • No individual public adjusting firms. Public adjusting is licensed state by state; the national association is listed, the firms are not.
    • Marketing is two firms deep, not a roster. Roofing marketing agencies are numerous and near-identical in their own copy, and there is no honest way to rank them from it.
    • No single-branch supply houses. Local yards can be the best supplier a contractor uses, but no checkable national source covers them.
    • If you belong in a gap, say so. tell us about your company. Listing is free and is not for sale.
