    Free, and it takes a couple of minutes. Trucks and trailers, conveyors and lifts, brakes and kettles and nailers, fall protection, and surplus material from finished jobs. Everything on this board was listed by the person selling it — nothing is mirrored from a classifieds site or an auction house.

    The people reading this board run roofing companies. You do not have to explain what a conveyor is, and you will not field calls from someone who thinks a kettle is for tea.

    Listings go in as pending and someone reviews them before they appear — that the item is real, the category fits, and the description tells a buyer something.

    One thing we will not list

    Fall protection that has arrested a fall, or that has passed its service life. Used harnesses, lanyards and lifelines are listable with a manufacture date and an inspection history; without those, or with a fall on the record, the answer is no. Somebody’s weight ends up on that webbing.

    Say what it is, specifically. “2016 Ford F-550 dump, 96k miles” beats “dump truck”.

    Where the buyer collects it.

    Buyers on this board know what they are looking at. Age, hours or mileage, what works, what does not, and why you are selling. For materials: manufacturer, product line, colour name, quantity, and how it has been stored. For fall protection: manufacture date and inspection history — and if it has arrested a fall, do not list it.
