This promotion is sponsored and administered by BrockStar Media Corp, 668 Tiffany Blvd. Suite C, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, United States (the “Sponsor”), which operates National Roofing Directory at nationalroofingdirectory.com.

The Sponsor is not affiliated with, and this promotion is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, any manufacturer or seller of the prize, or by any social network or platform on which it may be mentioned.

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning. Entry is free and is open to any eligible person who subscribes to the Sponsor’s email newsletter, which is itself free.

Buying a listing, a membership, a sponsorship or anything else from the Sponsor does not create an entry, does not create an additional entry, and does not affect the draw in any way.

Open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry. Void in Puerto Rico, other US territories and possessions, and everywhere else, and void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.

Employees, officers and directors of the Sponsor, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and each of their spouses) and members of their households, are not eligible.

By entering you confirm that you meet these requirements. The Sponsor may require proof of eligibility before awarding a prize and may disqualify an entrant who does not meet them.

Subscribe to the newsletter at nationalroofingdirectory.com/newsletter and confirm your subscription by clicking the link in the confirmation email we send you. That is the entire entry method.

You are entered in a given month’s drawing if your subscription is confirmed at the moment entries for that month close. It does not matter when you subscribed. An unconfirmed subscription is not an entry. If you unsubscribe, you are not entered in any drawing after that point.

Limit one (1) entry per person per monthly drawing, regardless of how many email addresses you control. Entries made by any automated means, or by using multiple addresses or identities, are void and may result in disqualification.

There is no cost to enter beyond any internet access charges you would incur anyway.

No entry period is currently open. Each monthly drawing has its own entry period with a published start and end date and time (Eastern Time), which appears on the giveaway page for the duration of that month’s promotion and is repeated in this section while it runs.

The Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeper for this promotion.

One (1) prize is awarded per monthly drawing: a hand or power tool selected by the Sponsor. The specific item and its approximate retail value (“ARV”) are published on the giveaway page before that month’s entry period opens, and are repeated in this section while it runs.

The ARV is the Sponsor’s good-faith estimate of the retail price at the time the prize was chosen. The actual value may be higher or lower, and no difference will be paid.

The prize is awarded “as is”, with no warranty of any kind from the Sponsor (the manufacturer’s own warranty, if any, is unaffected). The prize is not transferable, and there is no cash alternative and no substitution by the winner. The Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.

The Sponsor ships the prize to the winner at the Sponsor’s expense, to an address in the fifty United States or the District of Columbia. All other costs are the winner’s, including any taxes.

The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for that monthly drawing. Because every eligible entrant has exactly one entry and the winner is selected at random from all of them, each entrant’s chance in a given month is one divided by the number of eligible entrants in that month.

The number of entrants in each completed drawing is published with the result on the giveaway page.

One (1) potential winner is selected at random from all eligible entries after the entry period closes.

The selection is made by a documented, reproducible procedure rather than by hand. A random seed is generated when the entry period opens and its SHA-256 fingerprint is published on the giveaway page at that time, before the Sponsor knows who has entered. When entries close, the list of eligible entrants is fixed and fingerprinted, and the winning position is derived from the seed and that fingerprint using HMAC-SHA256 with rejection sampling, so that every entrant is equally likely to be selected. Only one drawing per monthly period may be recorded.

After the result is announced, the Sponsor publishes the seed, the entrant-list fingerprint, the number of entrants and the winning position, so that the selection can be independently recomputed. The list of entrants itself is not published, because it consists of subscribers’ personal information.

The potential winner is notified by the Sponsor at the email address used to subscribe, within approximately seven (7) days of the drawing.

The potential winner must respond within fourteen (14) days of the first notification attempt and provide a shipping address in the fifty United States or the District of Columbia. If the potential winner does not respond within that period, is found to be ineligible, declines the prize, or the notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected from the remaining eligible entrants by the same method.

The Sponsor will ask the winner how they wish to be identified publicly and will publish only what the winner agrees to (for example initials and a town). The Sponsor does not publish subscribers’ email addresses.

All federal, state and local taxes on a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Where the value of prizes awarded to one person in a calendar year reaches US$600 or more, the Sponsor is required to report it to the Internal Revenue Service on Form 1099-MISC and will ask the winner for the information needed to do so, including a completed Form W-9. A winner who declines to provide it forfeits the prize.

Information you give when you subscribe is used to send you the newsletter and to run this promotion. It is not sold, rented or given to third parties for their own marketing. The full policy is at our privacy policy.

You may unsubscribe at any time using the one-click link in any email we send. Doing so removes you from future drawings; it does not affect a prize already awarded.

By entering, you agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding on all matters relating to this promotion.

The Sponsor may disqualify any person it reasonably believes has tampered with the entry process, entered by fraudulent means, or acted in violation of these rules.

If the promotion cannot be run as planned — because of a technical failure, unauthorised intervention, fraud, or any other cause beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control — the Sponsor may suspend, modify or end it, and in that event will award the prize from the eligible, unaffected entries received up to that point.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Sponsor is not liable for any loss or damage arising from participation in this promotion or from acceptance, possession or use of a prize. Nothing in these rules limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Void where prohibited or restricted by law. This promotion is offered only in the fifty United States and the District of Columbia and is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts sitting in North Carolina.

Winners are published on the giveaway page after each drawing. For a written list of winners, send a request with a self-addressed stamped envelope to BrockStar Media Corp, 668 Tiffany Blvd. Suite C, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, marked “Tool Giveaway Winners List”, within six (6) months of the drawing in question.
